Am I correct that the industry and Wall Street are counting every single foreclosure event as a ‘sale’? It certainly seems that way to me. Almost all of the ‘sales’ then show up as ‘new listings’ months or even over a year later on sites such as redfin.com or listingrunner.com, where they are shown to be bank-owned.
Hi Carol If a sheriff sale is listed in MLS or recorded in MLS then that sale is part of the data. The Realtors association is unclear about the frequency of inclusion or exclusion. Thanks for your comment. Michael
